City Council: Wish for the maintenance of Cardiac Surgery University Hospital Henri Mondor.

While our health care system needs urgent reforms and depth to effectively fight against the consequences health inequalities and social authorities, the Regional Health Agency of Ile-de-France has confirmed its plan to abolish the Department of Cardiac Surgery of CHU Henri Mondor , thus placing itself in direct inspiration of the law "Hospital patients, Health and territories" which, under the pretext of reorganization, designed to sit on the health care supply business logic in total contradiction with the requirements of public service.

Considering that since the new scheme regional health organization programming the consolidation of operations of cardiac surgery at around 10 sites on 14 centers Ile existing mobilization for the maintenance and development of cardiac surgery service CHU Henri Mondor has continued to grow,

Considering that such a closure is justified by a logic based on accounting using the single criterion of the number of major surgery performed on one year, in defiance of quality care of patients and intensity of prevention work replacing heavy heart surgery,

Considering the health consequences of this decision for the 700,000 inhabitants of the Val-de-Marne and the 550,000 inhabitants of Seine-et-Marne, which are Basin Health CHU Henri Mondor and for the community teaching hospital that would disappear as a center of excellence in training young cardiac surgeons and scientific research,

Considering that 'with the 600 interventions year integrated cardiovascular center, this service contributes to a decisive share of the business of the hospital and therefore its financial equilibrium.

Considering the financial implications and potential human hospitalization in centers still farther to the patients concerned and their families,

- Opposed to the closure of cardiac surgery and in fact the regression of the Hospital and early decommissioning of CHU Henri Mondor making him lose his character and academic research.
